Choose teak and enjoy your outdoor space year round
Summer in Ireland didn't play out in our favour this year, but there's no reason not to be excited about the coming months. Autumn is a glorious time, the hedgerows are full of blackberries and the apple trees are groaning with fruit. We are so lucky to have wonderful produce right on our doorstep in East Cork.

I have one teak bench at the front of our house and the other at the back, meaning we can take our coffee and catch the sun right through the year. Teakwood is totally suited to the Irish climate, it is a dense and oily timber, that needs only minimal care. We love to let ours age naturally, and just give them a clean with soapy water every year or so, but if you prefer to give them a finish we can also recommend a suitable teak oil and maintenance plan.
